Assistive Listening Systems


Assistive Listening Systems provide listening assistance for hard of hearing participants. The systems can also be used to provide an individual audio system for each participant. An individual system allows for multiple audio programs within a given area or can also provide audio to a group where a PA system is not available or cannot be used. The Assistive Listening Systems are available for rental or purchase. Systems can be used as a portable system or can be permanently installed in a facility.

Personal Assistive Listening System

The Personal Assistive Listening System allows an individual to carry his/her own Assistive Listening System from event to event, meeting to meeting. The system is furnished with a portable transmitter (LT-700) and one Receivers (LR-400). The transmitters come with a variety of interconnect cables to 'hook' into any public address (PA) system as well as a lapel microphone for any 'One on One' situations. Several earphone/headphone options are available depending on hearing loss or the environment. Unlike Infrared Systems, the Listen Technologies equipment can be used indoors or outdoors and is truly portable.


Portable Assistive Listening System

The Portable Assistive Listening System operates in the same fashion as the Personal System be accommodates a greater number of participants. Systems are ideally used for business meetings, conferences, theaters, sporting events, shows, courtrooms, classrooms & anywhere enhanced audio is required or requested. Any audio installation can be enhanced with the use of an Assistive Listening System.


Group Assistive Listening System

The Group Assistive Listening System allows a greater number of participants to listen to a specific audio program. The system utilizes a base transmitter for increased audio control and greater transmission distance then the Portable System. Rental systems are available for any type any size event. Multiple audio programs can be accommodated using multiple transmitters set to distinct channels. GEN maintains a database of frequencies that can work well together. This database is continually added to and keeps track of which frequencies work well across the United States.
